Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Took another trip out to Lake Los Carneros again on 04/11/03 and fished from shore on near the South Side beach area. Started with Yamamoto worms and caught 3 Bass, 9",11", & 12". But then I noticed some movement on the top water in the Southern Flats, so I pulled out my good old Hula Popper, missed the first hit, then finally pulled in another 12" Bass. The Hula worked so I continued with it. Finally God sent me the prayers that I was asking for, hooked and LANDED a very nice 18" (4.95lb) Bass. After landing the fish, I was thinking about running back to the Duck Pond Shore line to ask someone to take a picture, but lo and behold, a biker rode by in the nick of time to take a few shots of me and the biggest fish I've seen out of Los Carneros in the past 2 years. The big lunker was released and swam away within 1.5 minutes of the catch. So fellows, small lakes do produce, and I think that the fish are coming back in large numbers. until next time, --the Captain was here
