I slept in again today and did not get to the lake until 1:00. and should have just stayed in bed. I hate this %^&$# wind!!! Before I moved here I never cursed like this......well maybe sometimes I did.

I spent the entire afternoon in Little Caney fishing some new areas and I ended up with 5 strikes and three fish (largest about 3lbs) The two fish I missed were both very big fish. I am not sure just how big because I could not get them to the surface.

I found some new areas that really look good. I found some pads in Northwest Bay and behind an Island. This part of the lake really looks great and would love to be able to throw some soft plastic but you can't really fish it with this wind.......or can you? Anybody got any ideas?

I hate to open this can of worms but I swear I do not think I have ever seen anything more funny in my entire life than these people who site fish. I know there is nothing wrong with it and who knows maybe one day (very soon at that........if the wind keeps up) I will do it.

Nevertheless, it is the funniest site I have ever seen. I can just hear my dad asking me, "why in the world are there 3 people on the platform when they have plenty of room in the boat for everyone".

I really do not think I am going to try and expalin the truth. I think I am just going to tell him that in Texas the wind blows so damn hard that it takes two people to operate the trolling motor and one person to navigate the wind.
