Subject: Guntersville, Alabama

Submitted by TroyJ/Angling Alabama

Date Fished: 6/2/2003

Water Temperature: 72
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Water level was down below normal pool today. Still hanging around the 72ish degree mark as far as temps, and most of the river is clearing up very well. We put in down at Seibold as the Waterfront lot is being paved today. The ramp lot should be done this week, but who knows with more rain on the way.

Fishing was a little slow, but this husband and wife team still put some quality fish in the boat. We boated 12, and several more jumped off or got off at the boat. Only a couple blow ups on top today and it was all YUM when it came to boating fish. The one in the pic (4-3/4 lbs) was one of several that took the jig with a big Yum trailer, worked in hydrilla on ledges. A 5" Yum Dinger worked well fished weightless, and a 10" Yum Ribbon Tail worm also put some of the keepers in the boat.

Waterfront does have the Yum Dingers in stock for those who were looking for them locally.

The quality bite is definately improving, especially since they'll FINALLY BITE A JIG! I was freaking out without a jig bite for so long. I'm catchin g a few already on the big Vibra King tubes also, the shallow grass bite is on the mend. Now if it will just get to 90 degrees, the wind will quit blowing and the gnats will come out, things will start happening...

We took some quick pics, and put them back alive as soon as we could.
