Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Fished from 6:30-10:30. Went into the coves and continued to have success in the grass and submerged brush, catching five on the day from 1-3 pounds. The riprap has not held any type of fish in about a month except for the Lagoon, which I fished about 2 weeks ago on the west side of the spillway. Almost all the fish that I caught in the grass today felt just like a snag in the grass, so remember swings are free. The way I'm getting them is when I feel that weighted resistance I stop reeling in and slowly raise my rod tip. When I feel that the lure is not moving out of or releasing from the grass I set the hook and usually have a fish on. It's getting really hot out there by about 9:00 so make sure you have your sunblock.
