  Subject: Castaic Lagoon, California

Date Fished: 7/9/2003
Water Temperature: 78
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

On the lake from 10:30-1:00. Got skunked. The lagoon really has changed since I was on it last about 3 weeks ago. The weeds of course are up on the surface and almost every cast brings some in. The weeds have turned a brown color and I heard the lakes were bluestoned. The other thing that played a factor on the lake today was boat traffic from some sort of camp that is going on near the spillway, which is where I like to fish. They had two boats going, pulling tubers and skiers and there was a couple of seadoos going as well. My next outtings will be on the upper lake for probably the next month or so until everything settles down.
