Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater On the lake from 6:30-9:30 with a couple of friends. Caught four fish between us using plastic worms in shad and oxblood colors. The bass are getting a little more finicky and tend to take the offerings at a slow retrieve. One of my friends caught his fish split shotting and I caught mine dartheading. The fish are still hugging the grass and submerged brush and still are not striking aggressively. Line watching the last few times out has been important. The fish are getting a little bigger each time out, averaging 2-4lbs. Boat traffic is still up both from skiers and fisherman, many of them going for the strippers. I thought the shad where out the last time out but they are baby bass that are the same size as the typical shad on the lake. Tried a couple of crankbaits this outting with no luck, I think I'll stick to plastics for now.
