Subject: Boone Lake, Tennessee Submitted by Shad Rapper
Date Fished: 7/17/2003 Water Temperature: 78 Another slow, but good, night out on Boone. I about threw my arm off but managed two keeper smallies including the 3-2 above caught near Boone's Creek. He broke the #4 1/2 gold spinner and Sampo swivel right off my purple/chartruse 3/8 oz. nighttime spinner bait and put on quite a show as I drug him out of there just a kickin' and a screamin'. The other smallie came on a pearl Deep Little N off of "Keeper Point" which again, paid off, three visits in a row now. I made about 40 casts but when he hit it, I had exactly the same boat position and cast as the one the other day. Wonder if there's something to that? :) Got one 14" largemouth on the same kind of spinnerbait and one peckerhead smallie on a 4" worm. Not many folks out last night which surprised me for being such a nice night. Put 'em all back, I did. Shad
