Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Happy to report that the death of Barrett was exaggerated! Tubed on sunday...got too many to report...still alot of starving bass. The bigger fish ( >5lbs)are definitely dead and dying, but the silver minnows and baby bass are growing and keeping the "smaller" bass alive it seems. Still some scary, messed-up fish, but most are in real good shape. Judging from all the spit out senkos, the lake bottom must be carpeted with them.
Not your typical aggressive bite, though, which is tough for most of the blade chuckers that frequent this lake. Stick with plastics, work 'em slow, use a real sensitive rod to feel the pressure bite...and see if you can match my 250+.
PS: a float tube is a lesser, less manuverable vessel than a boat (even a 4hp)and 5 feet is WAY to close to come to a tube with a churning prop. You know who you are and next time it'a a 1/2 once Ratt'l Trap ripped into you and your butt-ugly girlfriends faces...because, as you said, "it's a free country," bro.
