Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater hi fellow bassers, went fishing on my old home waters yesterday with two friends from conn. started out calm and flat with sunshine, and ended with 10-15 mph winds.the river has all smallies in it so as the day went on and the wind picked up the fishing got better, fished over grassbeds and weeds in the 4-8 foot depth and around logs. also picked up the bigger fish over grassbeds close to the river channel. fished on flats with some rock. some of the smallies came on burning a spinnerbait over the grassbeds. some came on jigs around the logs and some on worms and tubes depending what you were fishing. biggest smallie was close to 3 pounds but most were from 1.8 to 2.8 with about 30+ smallies caught. made for a great day. fished from the track road landing up river.
