Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater I went to the river right at the state line below the bridge in Newport, & got the first smallyes of my life. Man them thing fight hard. Any way I was using a 6" watermelon pepper senko bait on a no wieght T-rig. I got my first fish to the boat at about 4+ pounds just about sunset. I released that one & got one about 5 lb.s. I kept it because it was gut hooked & I didn't want to put a dead fish back. I catch and release 99.9% of my fish. Anyway I had a monster nail my senko bait. I fought it about 5 min. before it came up and took one look at me & tour outa there snaping my line. LOL I didn't think I was that ugly. It was I would say in or near the 7 lb. range.
OK one last thing I'm looking for a fishing partner. I have a boat with 2 pedestal seats & need want someone to fish with and share gas , ect. My boat anit fancy but floats and I catch a lot of fish. If you got a lot of free time and want to fish email me at HOODOO2@peoplepc.com
