Water Clarity: 1 foot Got an early start on Joe Pool this morning. Caught three largemouth from the hydrilla beds near the dam right away. They all knocked the fire out of a ChugBug. I then went to the spot where I missed a "Jurassic" looking bass yesterday on a grass frog but again no deal. I left and hit some of my old holes and caught four more largemouth. I used a crankbait, a mojo-rigged fry, and had several hits on a tube and worm. All fish except one were under the slot and came from 4-9 ft of water, near grass or wood. I hope and pray that they leave the grass alone out there. The beds I was fishing were full of baitfish including some of the biggest shad I've ever seen, bream, sandbass, and of course largemouth. I lost count of the number of largemouth that I saw chasing baitfish in the grass. Like Wayne, Fireman, and EddieM have been reporting, it's about to get hot on Joe Pool.
