Date Fished: 10/12/2003 A very bad for fishing. Given all of the great reports from opeining day, we were fully expecting lots of fish. Sadly this was not true. There were no available boat rentals, so we were force to fish from shore. There are three shore-fishable bays - numbered one (closest to the marina), two and three (farthest from the marina). We chose three. There were numerous small bass (about 6-8 inches) sighted. A few good sized carp and a few good sized bass were also seen - unfortunatly no one in our bay (about 60 people throughout the day) caught anything. With the exception of a good-sized catfish that was released. Speaking to other fishermen from the other bays, dock hands and a few lake workers, we were not alone. Some of the workers at the lake belive this may be "boat-shock" (my term). The lake had been largly unmolested for a couple years. Then last week 200 boats a day. They seem to think that the schools have scattered and are timid. I don't know if this theory holds water, but several people got skunked nonetheless...
