Water Clarity: 0 I have fished this lake for years. It has never been spectacular for me, but I keep trying to figure it out. I know there are big bass in this lake they are to smart and have seen everything. I caught two in two hours about the size of my hand, dammit. What I did see were endless schools of shad, shad and more shad. The fish are as full as can be I imagine. As I mentioned I have yet to figure out a productive method for this lake. I tried everything and the only thing I ever catch fish on are drop shot. You have to because of the muck. PLEASE GIVE SUGGESTIONS IF ANYONE KNOWS THE SECRET TO THIS LAKE.
I normally fish the east end banks and the clam beds. My personal best in this lake is a 6#.
Also, keep the reports coming on DVR and Castaic. Castaic rocks. With diamond valley ya'll need to chill, the lake will level out once the fish get used to traffic. Imagine living in your peacefully for 5-10 yrs. in your house then all sudden there's a lawnmower, skill saw etc. buzzing in your living room.
It'll be great in time. Learn how to properly deflate the air bag if your fishing 60ft though.
