Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Striper and largemouth fishing was very good in the Echo Bay Overton Arm area. We got all of our fish on spinnerbaits,rattle traps - TD Vibrations,Storm shad baits. The long flat shallow no nothing looking coves with weed growth in them always had fish good to go. The schools were not big. Every time you hooked up, your partner would too but that may be it for that cove. The large cove looking down over the restaurant in Echo was by far the best. It was wide open at times in that cove. Oh and the largemouth, man what I would give to get some of the one we caught during an event out there. We caught some solid 3lb largemouth burning the rattle traps back to the boat. Most all the largemouth came on the TD Vibrations burned back to the boat, but so did the stripers too. Some of the bigger coves on the opposite side of the marina waaaaay down where Overton meets Virgin basin were really hot also, I could not find a name for those coves on my map. We had overcast conditions the whole time we were out also, couldn't ask for any better weather !
