SUBJECT: American Bass Anglers Coming to Lanier in 2007

Submitted by Keith Allen Ridenhour (68.211.176.235) from GEORGIA on

American Bass Anglers will have a district on Lake Lanier in 2007 starting with the first event on September 1st, 2007. We will have 6 tournaments on Lanier & 6 tournaments on Lake Allatoona. The tournaments on Allatoona will go out of the Gatewood/Batow boat ramp & we are looking to hold our 6 tournaments on Lanier out of Mary Alice Park. If anyone vewing this post has any additional info about Mary Alice Park that may be impostant, please reply with your comments. We currently have a district on Allatoona(District 125) with already having held 4 tournaments, we have 4 tournaments remaining with the next event Jan 6th out of Gatewood. So come on and join us now so you will be set for lanier & allatoona next season. Anyone feel free to contact me anytime with your questions, i will be gald to give you my time. You can view important info on my district website @ www.freewebs.com/allatoonaaba/ and you can go to the National Site to learn what ABA is all about @ www.americanbassanglers.com Merry Christmas to everyone & their families. Thanks Keith Allen Ridenhour District 125 Director for ABA Georgia North Lanier/Allatoona

The first ABA Tournament on Lanier in 2007 will be September 8th, not September 1st as i posted before. Contact me with questions & comments. Keith

Keith, you may already know this, but Mary Alice is not operated by the CORP as of last year, it is run by the city of Cumming, and in the month of Sept. It is extremely difficult to get a parking space because of all the pleasure boaters still using the ramp in Sept. and the limited parking spaces. Also, the CORP Parking pass is not valid at the ramp and you have to pay at the ramp.

Just some food for thought, but I would recommend you look into antoher ramp to hold the event if you are expecting more than 25+ boats at these events.

    Scott

Scott-Thankyou for that info-i will check the situation out thoroughly because i don't want folks showing up & have to turn them away. Again-Thankyou very much-hope you & your Family had a safe & happy Holiday season. www.freewebs.com/allatoonaaba33/

Keith, if needed, some of us can put in at nearby ramps if parking becomes a problem. Also, I don't think many pleasure boaters will be arriving b4 daylight..
