 You'll want to get a unit that has the most pixels to give you the detail to be able to see your drop shot.

Check out LTBama's post 47256 on the 'fishing tactics board. He is using the Lowrance x125. Noticed the other day that there are several X125 on ebay.

There is another post 48075 also on the 'fishing tactics board' about setting for the depthfinder.

I'm sure that there are several other posts regarding your question.
