SUBJECT: I'd say NY 23 did show us something
Submitted by
Bucket from OKLAHOMA on
Unfortunately in this case it showed us that a 3rd party candidate is generally pissing in the wind.

Rip #10422 from TEXAS says Success
To have success next year, the Repubbys cannot repeat their actions in NY23. You cannot split up a party and expect to win anything. Even the Buckster knows that, and has been telling you so. Listen to him.

Mudfish from FLORIDA says Run a conservative or we'll run one for you.
I will agree with you on this one, Bucket. But it makes for an interesting situation, almost like a mexican standoff:
Sarah Palin can't win in 2012 without the Republican party, and the Republican party can't win in 2012 without Sarah Palin.

Eric-Maine (76.178.216.253) from MAINE says Small price to pay to
kill another RINO and expose others.
The Democrat, Owens will have to start defending his seat before he is even seated. He should save the concession speech he had planned for last night.........

Publius #10953 from MARYLAND says Like I said before...
it ain't about a party. Two liberals and one conservative do not constitute a 3rd party choice. It's a whole new ball game. Republicans are about to realize that there are more conservatives than there are republicans. Straighten up or get kicked to the curb.

Bucket from OKLAHOMA says This was a unique case
The GOP picked the wrong candidate in the first place. I agree that it was a wake up call to the party and it was 2 libs against a conservative. If we had backed the right horse from the beginning it would have been a different story.
