SUBJECT: Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

Submitted by Harumph #11038 from OHIO on

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 26% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14. That matches the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President.

***
The KSM trial in NY has done this to him. And it will hurt more over time.

It was truly a bad judgement call and there will be a hefty political price to be paid for it.

The left is commiting political suicide. While it is fun to watch I can't help but feel that if the pendulum swings widely back into the other direction we wont be much better off.

This country needs a serious colonic. It is time for a third party to step in and take over this mess. One can only hope. Sigh....

  1. Bucket from OKLAHOMA says The only 3rd party run would be from the right, rumphy

And it would spell disaster. You need to come to your senses on that issue. Do you want to foist yourself upon the Palinite 3rd Party Petard?

  2. hvacstar from NORTH CAROLINA says Dumb and
    Dumber.

Both of you started down the right road with your first statements and then swerved sharply into the ditch with your last.

  3. Bucket from OKLAHOMA says So our only hope is for Sweet Sarah to carry the GOP torch, hvac?
    Dumberer

  4. Harumph #11038 from OHIO says Negative Bucket
I don't think Palin is CIC material. The only time she rises to that status is when she is compared directly to barry.

  5. Pounce from ILLINOIS says Huckabee
Mike Huckabee will be our next President. It can't come soon enough for me.

  6. Bucket from OKLAHOMA says Huckabee is more palatable than the empty suit or empty dress

Can't say that an evangelical preacher is what I had in mind though. I'm not sure he'd fare real well nationally either. Hopefully it won't matter who we run after 4 years of Barry.

  7. Harumph #11038 from OHIO says Better yet Bucket
Hopefully we still have country in 4 years to throw a president at? HuH?

  8. Bro (76.2.32.202) from FLORIDA says I saw Huckabee try to play Free Bird..
and he sucked.. I would never vote for Huckabee after hearing the way he butchered something this important..

    Haley Barbour in 2012!

  9. Eric-Maine (76.178.216.253) from MAINE says Do you think that Obama will run in 2012?
Or even still be president? After the democrats get trounced in 2010 Obama's going to get thrown under the bus.

The dems and the media will run interference while he has some popularity but his chickens will come home to roost. I predict as many in the primaries in 2012 for the Democrats as for Republicans.

My first 2 choices for president probably won't run. Sarah is the best of those mentioned so far.

  10. Bro (76.2.32.202) from FLORIDA says you are dreaming Eric..
his base and plenty of independents are hellbent on turning shixt to sugar creating the appearance of a successful Obama.. they have a lot of pride invested in supporting "America's First Black President".. nothing he can attempt or do will change this fact.. Obama will not be thrown under the bus.. you can rack it..

and what is it about Haley Barbour you don't like..

  11. Eric-Maine (76.178.216.253) from MAINE says He's got all the baggage that bill Clinton had
without the good economy and popularity.

    I do not dislike barbor

  12. mac (Doyle McEwen) (71.139.192.103) from CALIFORNIA says You gotta tell us Eric
Who are your first two choices..

    mac

  13. Paul (70.226.233.73) from ILLINOIS says Mayor Bloomberg For President
Given the current primary schedule a moderate northern republican has a good chance to get the Republican nomination for President in 2012.

In 2012, Moderates and Independents are going to flood the republican primaries.

Moderates and Independents may decide the republican nominee for President in 2012

  14. Bucket from OKLAHOMA says Go to your room, Paul

The men are having a serious conversation here, sonny.

  15. Eric-Maine (76.178.216.253) from MAINE says I wish
Cheney could have would have run this last go around. Jeb would be my other choice. They both suffer from the same malady.

  16. Bucket from OKLAHOMA says I'd row that boat with ya, Eric

Sadly, the unelectablity factor would sink us fast though.

  17. Paul (70.226.233.73) from ILLINOIS says Think about it
The revised primary schedule and republican party rules (winner take all) give more power to large states like California, New York and other northern states that have moved up their primary dates.

Given Obama will be the democrat nominee, the only chance for Moderates and Independents to have a say will be in republican primaries.

If Bloomberg chooses to run he has plenty of money to finance a campaign for President and he would be popular with moderates.

  18. mac (Doyle McEwen) (71.139.192.103) from CALIFORNIA says Eric, Cheney is just about
as electable as John McCain, not very..Although I suspect Jeb Bush would have been a better selection than either his father or his brother, something tells me he wouldn't get very far at this time..Jeb would be a much better choice than Cheney..

    mac

  19. Eric-Maine (76.178.216.253) from MAINE says Like I said , neither will be an option
    Sarah 2012

  20. Bucket from OKLAHOMA says When did you start swilling the Sarah koolaide, Eric?

Was it the farking book? Not long ago you seemed to be of a different opinion about her qualifications.

  21. Eric-Maine (76.178.216.253) from MAINE says I voted for her in 2008
and against Obama. If she can help some republicans win in 2010 along with her experience and talent. Hell Yes.

  22. Paul (70.226.233.73) from ILLINOIS says Romney and Pawlenty may have broader appeal
Assuming there is no viable third party choice, I hope the republicans run somebody that can beat Obama, somebody moderates and independents can vote for.

In terms of Obama winning again, Sarah and Cheney would give Obama the best chance. Sarah and Cheney have very little, if any, appeal beyond the far right.

George W. Bush finished off any hope of another Bush getting elected President anytime in the foreseeable future.

Romney and Pawlenty may have broader appeal.

  23. Wackoman from Mexico says I'd vote for Romney but
I suspect I'd be the only Southern baptist that would vote for a pro choice Mormon.

What the hell, maybe you heathens can do it without us right wing wackos.

  24. MikeF from FLORIDA says welcome to the bus
Jeb would be my choice with either Huckabee or Rudy as VP.

  25. Gene from GEORGIA says if Jeb's last name was Smith
I would say he has a good chance, but it ain't. I too really like Jeb.

  26. MikeF from FLORIDA says if nothing else
Can he come back and run for the Senate so Crist doesn't win?

  27. Eric-Maine (76.178.216.253) from MAINE says Whats wrong with Rubio?
    .

  28. Bucket from OKLAHOMA says Eric, perhaps Rubio won't win

Simply because he's more conservative than Crist.

    just sayin....

  29. Eric-Maine (76.178.216.253) from MAINE says and Jeb is not?
    .

  30. Bucket from OKLAHOMA says He has considerably more going for him

    Than simply his conservatism.

    Get it?

  31. Eric-Maine (76.178.216.253) from MAINE says Polling for the conservative vs John McCain
has John at only +1. Maybe Hayworth has more going for him than conservatism?

Jeb is a rock star in Florida. Crist has had the misfortune of following in his foots steps. Florida is not Massachusetts, NY or Minnesota. FL. can do better and will

  32. Bucket from OKLAHOMA says Maybe so

The voters of Fl and AZ shall decide the matter. Ya think the jack-booted anti RINO brigade will be marching on those states?

  33. Eric-Maine (76.178.216.253) from MAINE says I will trek to
Florida a time or two but will leave the jackboots at home. Sandals will have to do. I may send some money to JD should he decide to run. I know what it is like to go to the polls and have a choice between a liberal and a Marxist for Senate.
