SUBJECT: trolling motor recess mount

Has anyone used one of the aftermarket trolling motor foot pedal recess mounts in the tr series boats. I have purchased one but I would like to know has anyone done this. The only problem I see is the front wall of the center compartment. In order to get the mount forward enough you have to cut into this wall. Don't know if this would create a problem or not. Any advice would be great.
