SUBJECT: SF 21 Bow mount fish finder question

I would like to upgrade my bow mounted fish finder. Where can I find a new face plate(not sure what it called) to mount the new locator on. The current face plate is custom fitted for my Lowrance x-48. I am looking at adding a larger unit.

Get the dimensions of the new unit and contact your triton dealer or triton direct. Triton will not sell to you direct, but will give you the information you need to order it through your dealer. The face plate for my tr-21 was about $50 as I recall. Of course if your boat is still under warranty, and the old one is broken, the replacement would be $0.

I have a PinPoint 7800 mounted on my bow. It's on a bracket that's just screwed to the floor behind the faceplate. Allows angle adjustment, and easy removal. I don't like leaving my graphs in the boat. Too easy to steal, and the sun baking on them when not in use can't be good for them.
