I am looking to buy a Cat, and the two boats in my price range is the Pro Sport Pro Cat, and the Twin Vee. I noticed a huge weight difference between the two with the Pro Cat weighing almost double than the Twin Vee. Does that mean the Pro Cat is more of a solid Boat and would ride and handle better than the Twin Vee. although I am pretty sure with that weight difference the Twin Vee would get a lot better gas mileage. I need help with a decision between the two Boats please. Which is a better boat? Also I can get a 2000 22 Pro Cat cuddy with twin Yamaha 2 stroke 130s for about 30K, and for about 42k I can get a little bit newer one maybe a 2002 with twin 4 strokes 115s, do you guys think it is worth it to spend another 12k or so to get the 4 strokes motors or do you think its not worth it. Thanks.
P. S: Any body have either of these boats for sale I am interested. Thanks

The Procat is heavier because it has a liner probably. It doesn't mean it is a better built boat. Actually with a catamaran less weight is better, it will ride better because with more weight the center pod slams more causing a rougher ride. Also the liner gives you less cockpit room, without a liner the deck goes all the way to the side of the boat giving you more room in the boat plus it stiffens the boat up more. Look at a Contender most of their boats do not have liners. I would go with the Twinvee. The TwinVee has the same hull I have on my boat, I have a 21ft Sea Cat which rides very nice. I am not impressed with Procats at all!
