Have a mono hull at the moment. Looking into a catamaran about 26 - 30 feet. Was looking at hydrocat for a while understand they are going or are out of business? Can someone confirm this? Also can anybody give me any advice on what company makes a good cat? I have seen WC,Glacier Bay, Prosports Cat. Are there any other manufactors besides these? Thanks for the help.

I recently test drove the world cat 27 TE. I have to tell you that is one sweet baby!! the gentleman that took me on the demo ride told me it is the worlds only planing catermaran. that sucker turns on the dime and is a very stable, roomy and comfortable ride. we ran the jetties out of sabine pass texas and hit 5 to 7 ft swells at the end of the jetties into the gulf. i tell you ive made that trip several times a year in other boats and that TE was impressive. the one i was on had twinn 225 honda four strokes. other boats to consider besides the one you mentioned are "twin vee" and Gravois. lots of guides in venice, la runs the twinn VEEs for tuna at the lumps.
