SUBJECT: Cat width & height question

Submitted by MackerelMan (64.95.214.18) from TEXAS on

This may seem like a strange request but I'm trying to get the width and height of a 26 ft cat on the trailer. I've already decided that my next offshore rig will be a cat, leaning to Glacier Bay but also considering SportCat. I am getting ready to construct a storage building and need to be sure I get one large enough. I'd appreciate if you cat owners would measure and post a response. Looking for width, trailer included, and height with T-top. Thanks in advance.

  1. Gerry, SFHP from VIRGINIA says Glacier Bay 260 Canyon Runner
9' wide (on trailer) and 13'4" tall (that's the top of the outrigger mounts in the down position.

I was told GBs had a 9 ft beam, which trailered, would make the total rig wider than 9 ft since the wheels are outside the hull. Did I get bad scoop on the GB beam? Also I'm not going to be able to put a building up to slip the rig into that is 14 ft tall. I've checked and can get a T-top that will fold down. Can you give me the height to the top of the windshield as well. Thanks much!
