New investor here

 Hey guys and gals, I came into a small amount of money $5000 that I can play with. I already bought a new LMS 520 it was a needed expence.
Anyway back to investing.

I want to get into the market while it is buying time. I want to trade alone. What is a good online investing company like scotttrade, Sharebuilder.
I have a few stocks I'm watching and bought a couple through sharebuilder (LINE, PFE) next stock I'm looking at is Netgear.

 Don't mean to ignore you. I am not a "trader" so I would not attempt to advise you on when to buy. When the market is very low it is a good time to buy equities IF YOU INTEND TO HOLD THEM FOR 5 TO 10 YEARS.

Noone I have ever known has successfully "timed" the market. Attempting to buy low and sell high on a short term basis requires that you identify the lowest market level for making your buy and again identify the market high so as to sell at the best possible price. If I knew how to spell Ouiji Board I would suggest you get one to provide signals when market tops and bottoms are reached. Don't mean to be a smart a** but just can't help it when I see people attempt to time the markets.

If you ever wish to consider long term investing I would be glad to share with you what has worked for me. That's about the best I can do for you.

 Thanks for the advise you gave me, however I didnt ask that. What I am asking is what online trader is the best to you and why.
I dont need a magic 8 ball at the moment. Things are pretty low. I am buying stocks in incriments instead of all at once.

 but I'd suggest you look at the makers of Crestor and some of the newer meno-pause related medications. Bio-tech is going to weather the economy in good shape.

Bot some stock in WTR this morning. It is a water stock. 2.7% dividend. But the biggest reason is the old saw, they ain't making any more of it.
