 So when do you get back in? Not trying to be smart but the getting out decision is relatively easy. Unfortunately noone rings a bell telling us that the market has bottomed. Is now the right time? Last month? Next month? I honestly don't know but Warren Buffett has been placing new cash into equities. He is a whole bunch smarter than I am.

I have no words of wisdom. What are YOUR thoughts?

 but RIGHT NOW is the best time IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE to buy equities on sale.

If you are afraid to jump all at once, do a dollar-cost averaging strategy by buy X dollars worth each month.

 But, it could retest the Nov lows again. I'd play middle of the road, investing 50% now and 50% in Money Market until you see some form of confirmation that the market has turned. It's difficult, week to week, early in the year to differentiate a bear market rally from the (hopefully) return of the bull.

I'd watch financials and commodities. When they take off and keep going, we're likely in a new, positive market. How long it will last is anybody's guess.
