SUBJECT: Summer Fishing Camp for Kids?

Can anyone out there point me towards any summer camp programs in the Southeast (preferably NC, SC, TN, FL) which are focused on bass fishing? My 11 year old son is absolutely crazy about bass fishing, and I'm interested in finding out if any such programs exist. Appreciate your help,

   try the North Carolina B.A.S.S. Federation. They may have a federation juniors bass club. We have one in our area, they teach kids techniques, and will take them to a pond to practice what they have learned. Once a year, they have a T, where adults voluntor to take kids out in their boats, on a major lake. I know the age limit for a federation kids club is 10-16.

   www.ncbass.com This is the NC Federation web site. Click on casting kids. You will get the name, address of the state youth director. They should be up on kids activities within North Carolina. To find other states, go to http://www.bassmaster.com/ click on the federation. On the left side, scroll down to federation links. Then whatever state you want. Hopes this helps, nothing else, may point in direction.

4. Mikebass from KENTUCKY says Kids bass fishing...
   Bring him and come to Ky for a special bass tournament just for kids. I am a director with The American BassFishinmg Club. Each year the Ky district hosts a Jr Angler's tournament here in central Ky. It is open to any Jr angler age 17 and under. Adult participation is limited to boat handling and netting fish.

   Entry fee is $20 per Jr and is 100% paid back...no hidden fees or costs. Wehave a lot of sponsors that donate goodie bags for the kids and door prizes.

   I've got two sons. The eldest is 17 and he fished the ABC for 4 years. The younger is now 12 and is fishing his 3rd season in ABC. It is an excellent ortganization and the Jr angler division has been great for the boys.
