SUBJECT: Making your own Punch Jig Skirts?

What about using a 1/4" long aluminum pop-rivet pushed through the center of a standard 40 or 60 stranded silicone skirt. Maybe use a the appropriate size rivet washer on the reverse side to sandwich/smash the collar flat. Can cut off silicone strands on one side of the piece so the bait could butt-up flat against the skirt. What do you think? Can anyone expand on the idea? At $3/punch skirt it's time to get creative!

I bought 1/4" nylon bolts at Home Depot. They had a 1/16 hole in the middle of the shaft. I put them in a drill and used a 3/16 wide file to cut a channel while it rotated. Then I cut the piece off the end of the bolt, about 1/2 inch long with a sheetrock knife and thats the hub. I found putting the skirt on before I cut the piece off of the bolt made it easier to get the skirt on. A 4" bolt made a bunch of hubs. They click pretty loadly too when the tungsten hits them.
