My first trip to Kenai Penn. Alaska in June. Will you recommend a spinning rod and reel to purchase ? Length, action? What line size ?

for bank fishing i bought a fenwick hmx 15-30lb line 9 foot rod it has a five year warranty that i have used with no problem after slamming the tip in a car door. I have a shimano calcutta 400 super stop etc. I fish in oregon and have had no problem landing fish with the gear listed above. The reel is all you will ever need. You could get a more expensive rod, but don't waste the money.
