The Cheetah lays in waiting
scanning for the prey
Cautiously advancing
Staying at bay
Along comes an Antelope
In the field from a distance
The Cheetah stalks while walking
Patience and persistence
Anxiously
The Antelope sprints
It's adreniline now flowing
All the other predators
Look the other way
Yet knowing
In an instant
The Cheetah
Sprints towards the prey
The Antelope runs for cover
Darting this way, that way
The Antelope
Know's inherantly
If it runs
faster and runs longer
The Cheetah
Lacking stamina
Will soon stop chasing
The prey no longer worth the hunger
