SUBJECT: # 57726: What does the CIA.INI file in Winders XP do?

Submitted by Bandit from TEXAS on 9/2/05 9:51:00 AM

What is the purpose of the C:/system.sav/util/cia.ini file? (See excerpt below)

This file makes reference to "FBI" all throughout it and I have a neighbor that is really upset that the CIA and FBI are searching his harddrive and computer for confidential information. He claims that is the reason it takes XP so long to load.

I can't find any reference to this file in Google or Microsoft but did locate a couple of references in Yahoo but not much help.

http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=cia.ini&sm=Yahoo%21+Search&fr=FP-tab-web-t&toggle=1&cop=&ei=UTF-8

BTW I'm running Winders XP Professional on an HP Pavillion ze 5250 laptop.

So all you Winders gurus, anyone know what is the purpose of this file?
