Report: The boat did very well with keeper bass yesterday. Today, Jim Balicki & I, along with @ 20 other fishermen headed out between the channels to the working birds but were rewarded with only short fish for our efforts. I was very surprised, as were most of the people onboard, when an angler a short distance from me lifted a codfish over the rail. A move towards the east where the action was hot on Friday produced what we had hoped for. Bass could be seen swirling on top and a 6" shad body was the lure of choice. Some fish were caught on jigs but the larger bass wanted the shads. Jim caught about a dozen bass of which 1 was a keeper. I managed 25 stripers today of which 4 were legal size. Two of the bass were just over 28", 1 weighed 14 lbs, and the other weighed 21 1/4 lbs (Pool Fish). All four of the keeper sized bass responded to the 6" shad, Tight Lines! (TINKNOCKER)

I was there that - lots of short no keepers for me. Yes - Cliff is a fishing machine - each time I look up he is pulling in a bass. Maybe next time for us....
