i bought a set for my century 3000wa last fall. they do help a lot in some wind and sea conditions and not very much in others.i'm now ready to add curtains but it's tough to swallow their cost versus content (1500.00 for three small pieces). yet when i'm out there getting wet that doesn't seem totally bad especially if its cold. i would definately try the rails on your boat, they do a lot for the money. make sure you have some help for the install, it's a two person job that might take about 4 hours. a good electric heat gun is a real help--even a hair drier would help and you'll want a warm day to do it.

I have Smart Rails on 2 boats and have installed two other sets for friends. In all cases, they flat work.

My old Dusky 25 was a wet dog without them and is a fine boat now. Other benefits than spray reduction: The boat turns flatter, planes at lower RPM and is not nearly as subject to heeling when passengers move at cruise speed.

I installed a set on a Cape Horn 19 that made a tremendous difference. The guy was ready to sell the boat for a helluva loss when I suggested Smart Rails. He is perfectly satisfied with the boat now.

My 17 foot Carolina Skiff was a fearfully wet boat, never mind spray, actual sheets of water used to come over the bow and soak you down. In order TRY to stay dry- Ha Ha, you had to duck down behind the windshield. I put smart rails on the bow and I now have a dry ride. I am very happy with smartrails, I think the smartrails have reduced the "Spray" by 90%. My boat is now a great boat and my family loves to go out with me. Smartrails are a super product, kind of expensive and a pain in the butt to install however after using them I couldnt imagine having a Carolina Skiff without them.
