SUBJECT: which is better fishing out of oregon inlet or hatteras inlet?

Submitted by bigfisnoc (38.201.12.227) from MARYLAND on

Four of us are planning on taking our 25ft Proline down to outer banks for some fishing. We were planning on going out of Oregon inlet but hearing some horror stories about peoples experience going out of OI has gotten me a little concern, plus looking at the weather chart it seem that the Gulf Stream is a lot closer to Hatteras inlet then it is to Oregon inlet. In the last 8-10 year I've been going out of Ocean City inlet (MD) and that at times that can get a little dicey but if you go out before all the charters boats go out your fine. If anyone has any suggestions it will be greatly appreciated.
