I know we have heard it before but your latest time schedule apparently has fizzled since we see no permit issued. Where's the permit? Is the sand flying yet???

Well Sir, I will tell you were it is. It is still in the hands of the CORPS. The 30 day comment period is up and now they will review the comment letters and either issue me the permit or not. WE have done everything that they have ask us to do and more. The ball is in their court. It should not be must longer now before we know one way or another. The next thing I do depends on what they do. By the way did you send in your comment letter? -

Mr. Townsend, Thank you for you kind words. I have to say that they come far and few in between. I have some bad nesws to report, and that is that the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council has said no to the permit as well as TPWD. I have ask Jeff to post the letter on the other board so that you can read as to why they are saying no. There is no reason for them to do this at all. Never the less I am stll hopefull that the CORPS will do the right thing and issue the permit. If they do there will be a lot of things that will be going on. Bids will be going out,and the dredge has to be moved to the location. We will have to get folks to move grass out of the Cedar Bayou channel and re-plant it. All of the work should be done pretty quickly and this can be done in about 60 to 90 days or so days, depending on the weather. We have to have turtle people out there, bird people, and people to keep the sand lossen after the work day is over each day. They are having us do things on this project that I have never seen on any other preject before. But, if thats what it takes to get it open, then we will do it. I am like so many others just setting here waiting to hear what is next. We get the permit or not. Tis is the worse part of it all, the waiting. We should know something in about a week or two. Is it any wonder the permit is denied again? And you are still waiting for the CofE to give you a permit while the big players like TPWD and Fisheries have said no? Why not post the letter here so we can all see it? TPWD is nothing more than a little fish in a big pond and the biggest natural resources killer that there is today. Do I care about their letter, NO. If I knew now to post a letter here I would post the letter that I do have but since I don't I won't. IF you would email me I will send it to you and you can post it. I don't have the time to be posting mess everytime that someone ask me to. As for Earnest goes I could do a better job then he could any day of the week. I know this case in every way backwards and forwards and it would take to long to bring him up to speed and he would not understand what he was looking at anyhow. Sea Center Texas will be glad to hear that they no longer need to research flounder and how to raise them. Every one of us has the right and the responsibility to ask questions about the pass. She, as CEO and seeking the permit, has the responsibility to perform and answer.
HardHead and others should not be challenged for asking questions,,,as it is she,,,not he, who is partitioning for permit and funding to open the pass. His ability, or what he knows, or where he lives, does not matter. She is simply blowing smoke to cover H.A.
Bottom line might be, she simply can not get a vote of confidence to place this project in her hands with funding.
Her history shows conflicts with virtually every one,,,even her own Board of Directors, Senator Armbristor's Office, etc. HISTORY
She was told to make the lawsuit go away?, she didn't,,,just posponed it. Jim Smarr in recent months drew it like a pistol with a speed loader. That lawsuit is just hiding,,,and she can not control it,,,therefore she is a lame duck with the permit,,,other reasons too.
When she gets upset, she will say she's done with ya,,,yet comes back, but not with apparent answers. How can a Permit/money be placed in such hands for completion?

The permit is still being reviewed by the CORPS. Now what do you suggest that I do to hurry them up and do something with it?? When I hear from them I will HEAR from them and not one thing can I do or will do to hurry them along.
