SUBJECT: cedar bayou

I understand that the county judge in Rockport is now involved in the re-opening of the bayou. Can lynn still take credit if he is successful?

What makes you or anyone think that a County Judge can make a difference with Cedar Bayou? Besides, his influence didn't make a difference. They are back to square one, AGAIN.

Not what I said. Can't I try to have a little fun with the one thing we all agree on (Lynn bashing) without being preached to?

This is really sad. Nov 9th was lynn's final drop dead date for which she promised the permit would be issued. It was carefully cyphered on her fingers and toes considering when the hearing was held etc. It came and went and now she is frantically pacing the floor wearing holes in the carpet. She now is dropping mention of the "nuclear option", my descripion, of her Plan B. I'm thinking Plan B is a personal appearance in Washington to confront the Colonel of the C of E face to face. That'll teach him. What she doesn't know is that the money for opening the pass has since allegedly been re-allocated to closing Rollover Pass.

BASH! What you wrote looks more like "Wow Lynn is bring in a County Judge".

Octocoral (68.118.126.253) from Australia says Credit
Lynn has taken credit for dredging the San Bernard River and Mansfield Channel, furthering Quantum Physics and inventing Direct TV. Why would CB be any different?

Actually, that is what you understood, not what I wrote. I think I'll stick with vague innuendo and sarcasm. Leave the hardcore bashing to old veterans like you.

Probably a smart move.

Jimbo (69.152.238.250) from Taxes says Actually,,,
Have you wondered if the County Judge and/or Commissioners would get re-involved in the Cedar Bayou issue? I've wondered if they would ask for an audit,,,finding any of the $5000 support money they gave to Lynn's group just before the mass failure of her proposal for work permit.
Seems that money, raised by Public Funds and given from the County, should be audited and it's unused portion returned.
Yes,,,I hope the County Judge does become involved with Lynn and intervene deeper into Cedar Bayou,,,and a high praise goes out to him, with that action to help secure public interest too.
Cedar Bayou has been re-opened in the past under different leadership. Current leadership is setting a different ability pattern,,,and for many years now. Where's The Beef? The lights are still on in Fed and Austin offices.
Oh, and please don't find this as bashing,,,just a history lesson to acknowledge years of expensive failure.

He didn't sign it "respectfully"? And what about all those commas where there used to be periods? Otherwise, yes, classic Jimbo.

Jimbo (75.58.161.52) from TAXES says How's this suit ya ,,,
I don't sign "respectfully",,,ever. It's "With respect, Jimbo" when meant,,,but some folk complained about my using respect,,,so I mostly ceased at that, for harmony. Do you want respect,,,or none? LOL Jimbo
-
Jimbo (75.58.161.52) from TEXAS says Yes,,,
Oh,,,and Topwater,,,it's always been 3 commas,,,not periods,,,and they were there. LOL With respect, Jimbo

I stand corrected, Jimbo......twice. Old age has obviously taken its toll. I'm just glad to see some of you guys still hanging around and slipping onto this board on occasion. I always enjoyed the banter on this site and none of the newer ones have ever really compared to the heyday of the WMI.
