Seymour Showing her Art with Auction at Mercury/Cheeca Redbone Celebrity Fishing
Tournament Special guest of honor at famed Fla. Keys tournament for CF research ISLAMORADA, In the Florida Keys
— Emmy award winning actress and acclaimed artist Jane Seymour,
will be the special guest of honor at a limited seating reception, gourmet
dinner and auction of her art works during the 14th Annual Mercury
Outboards/Cheeca Redbone Celebrity Fishing Tournament.
The Nov. 2 – 4 weekend events, a fund-raiser for cystic fibrosis
research, will include the special Saturday, Nov. 3 evening event at Pierre’s
Restaurant MM 82.5 bayside, beginning at 6 p.m.
An art preview and champagne reception with Ms. Seymour will begin the
evening followed by a five-course dinner and then the auction of her
works. Tickets
are limited to 100 people at $500 per couple, which is tax deductible. Several
of the other celebrities fishing in the Mercury/Cheeca Redbone are expected to
attend the evening as well. Ms.
Seymour’s artwork has been displayed at such international exhibitions as the
Guggenheim Museum in NY in 1996, the “Angels” traveling exhibition in 1999 in
Japan; Art 21, Las Vegas in 2000 and the Escada Boutiques, Moscow, Berlin and
Dallas during 2000. The
evening’s auction will include original artwork of Ms. Seymour along with
limited edition lithographs, watercolors and prints. Ms.
Seymour’s love for art began at an early age. Her discovery and inspiration of
works by Matisse, Chagal and Dufy helped her emerge to become an accomplished,
passionate painter. She sketches
and paints at her Malibu, Calif. studio, on movie sets and on her travels. Landscapes and flowers are two of her
favorite colorist expressions.
Her art can also be previewed at the Redbone Gallery in Islamorada.
Ms. Seymour gives through her artwork to charities, which help children in need such as the Redbone and its work with Cystic Fibrosis research efforts.
