was stationed on fisher island in the coast guard in 1973 thru 1974 and had time to go fishing. I never heard of black fish and we never fished for them. Could you give a little info about them. We fished for blues and mackerel. Some of us use to surf cast for stripers. My favorite fishing was for the flounder drift fishing on the south side of the island. Just thought I would share that with you. It was a beautiful place to be stationed and I miss living there. Tom Adams USCG 1970-1974 ran many cases from the station and helped a lot of people get home safe.
