Baits? From: Rob (198.143.216.106), NORTH CAROLINA J.R., We've been braving some bitter cold, windy days on the flats up here in NC to chase those cold water reds. Even had to break ice out of the boat Saturday morning. The fish are plentiful, but some days its really hard to draw a strike. I've found a couple of lures that consistently do the trick. I was just curious to know what you guys were having the most luck with in your area. Tight Lines, -Rob.Where in NC From: ncdrew (24.211.211.211), NORTH CAROLINA Just wondering what part of NC you were chasing Reds. I usually fish Wrightsville Beach area, I've heard of 2 huge schools but haven't caught up with them myself. Too cold for my kayak. Just curious what areas and if you've had much luck lately.

Reds @ WB From: Rob (24.211.211.87), NORTH CAROLINA Drew, I fish out of WB too, and have had a little luck behind figure eight and Lea island as long as it is sunny. Kayak would be perfect on a sunny day way up in the creeks. I've heard of a few schools in the surf, but haven't tried in about a month. I've been doing pretty good on shallow flats near oyster bars and shell beds back behind Bald Head.
