Full Moons From: Mack (65.5.187.199), GEORGIA EZ Spin. They probably did save you about $300 or so. Usually, the full moons bring big, muddy tides and the trout are a little tougher to catch then. The first quarter and last quarter of the moon are the best tides to go out on, but heck, I fish when I get a chance. If you saw people catching fish though it just goes to say you never know. Live shrimp under a slip float is the best way to catch them down that way, but bottom fishing will produce all kinds of fish. Coastal Expeditions is a good guide in that area, but Capt. Vernon Reynolds will always be honest about your chances of catching fish before you book a trip. Good Luck
Your right... From: EZ Spin (216.199.68.4), GEORGIA Hey Mack,
He is one of the guides I spoke with and he was out fishing by his self. Said he had only caught a few stingrays and said exactly what you did. New moon-slow fishing. I'm happy to hear they were being honest (most guides I know are!) 'cause the wife may have been unhappy with $300 worth of stingray fillets! Those local guys helped out and they knew how to catch 'em! They had a bunch of fish (mostly Sheepshead and a few trout). The weather was awsome and I was happy to catch what I did from the bridges. Beautiful place to spend a few days. Thanks!
Re From: Rob (24.129.110.147), FLORIDA A good friend of mine is a guide there, and on those big tides we have been smokin' the tailin' reds in the skinny water. Check him out for the next trip. Capt.
