FYI,if you were on the east end of Emerald Isle that would be FT.Macon that you were fishing at.

Fishing Emerald Isle From: Peter (65.15.231.4), NORTH CAROLINA
I fish alot from Carolina Beach to Ft Fisher. Not very much luck. Would like Flounder. Are there any groups that discuss fishing in this area, share tips or just meet socially? I met one group that camped there and fished. Nice folks. Peter

Fishing the Emerald Isle/Atlantic Beach Area From: Michael (75.110.18.42), NORTH CAROLINA
This is the body of water I honestly prefer to fish. I have done lots of surf fishing in these areas. Fished the Bogue Inlet about 2 weeks ago and used some live shrimp. Caught about 3 keeper flounder and some small blues. Made a trip to Fort Macon on the 14th fished the always treacherous rock jetty. Threw out some grubs and caught a nice array of blues ranging from 10 inches to 14. Also nabbed a couple of small flounder 8-10 inches threw em all back though. All in all it was a good day. Plan on taking my kayak out to my secret drum /trout/flounder hole this weekend it should be a hoot. Any how best of fishing to everyone.
