Solomons Island Croakers From: Howard (64.26.97.247), MARYLAND
I came down to the pier at low tide the Croaker bite was off even at high tide from what the other fisherman said, I was using squid but all the luck I've had this season was from small strips of raw chicken it's the oil in the chickens meat that the croakers seem to love. I fish the chichen on a high low monofilament rig, the wire high low rigs seems to put them off. I use 2 oz. of lead to hold the bottom, because if the tide isn't moving your not gonna catch croakers anyway.
