I agree. Something changed from last week's bite. The few bass we caught were off the beach in 60'. They were big but the schools of bait close to the beach were undisturbed. History shows that the best week or two along the ocean beaches of Monmouth Co. is the full moon week in June. That's coming up soon. It's a real challenge to tease a bass on a plug when there's so much real bait around. It's even harder when the bass are so selective and picky. If those bass from last week left, there are still more south of us. If they make a right turn and head for Montauk we'll all be whale watching.
