Nice job guys
Saturday's Fluke From: Bill K (76.116.205.199), NEW JERSEY I was away from the computer for a few days but I'd like to add to Andrew's report. Saturday was my first fluking trip of the year with my friend Bruce. We also fished down the beach after trying a few other spots. After bouncing around from spot to spot we wound up with six keepers. The Seagull's nest was good until there was change in the tide. It was there I saw a big school of bunkers and one lonely bass that came up and chased a few bunkers on the surface. I left my spinning rod in the car. It goes to show you.
The most productive areas (for shorts) was on Flynn's Knoll when the tide wasn't roaring. We also picked pretty well in the P.M. off the Navy Pier. The ocean fish were very, very clean. After reading the Andrew's Reach report, I believe there will be a movement into the Reach by the fish from the knoll if it hasn't already begun.
Can you imagine what the fishermen and women of New Jersey will say when not only do you get to pay for your party boat fee to fish and your bait and fuel and fishing equipment and have to pay for a saltwater license all to throw back 17 1/2 inch fish. When was the last time you saw a group of legislators with fishing rods in their hands? What are we leaving to our nephews and nieces and our children and grand children? They won't be able to afford to fish.
