A few questions From: cliffy1, VIRGINIA Your post facinates me. I may have an opportunity to move to Southern CA in the next few months and have been wondering about the inshore fishing there. I am used to the Chesapeake Bay where a 20' bay boat and a couple of 12# class outfits are ideal. Everything I have read from SoCal talks about trips off shore and I don't think my boat could handle it and I know my tackle is too light. Are there places besides San Diego Bay that one can do light tackle, inshore fishing? If you wouldn't mind, could you send me an e-mail at sclifford@kjtoyota.com?

Good Report From: Gulfcoast Fred (192.152.140.9), TEXAS I appreciate the report. I will be heading west in the next to weeks, San Diego in fact. My wife is a little homesick.
Any way, Going to fish with a friend on Wednesday and I was wondering what kind of inshore fish to try catching? Those bass that are mentioned, are they edible? And what lures work best? Would a topwater bait be effective? I would appreciate any info you could share!
