Report:
6:52 high tide. Got to fishing about 6AM. Action was over by 8:30.

Got a couple releases on the downrigger and had to rebait. What happened next I have never experienced before...

I had the rigger down ten feet with the cut plug out about 25 feet behind the boat. I had just let up on the drag to start going down, when, WHAM! an 8 to 10 pound blackmouth hit the bait and the fight was on! I fumbled with the drag setting to tighten it up and got the fish about ten feet away, almost netted, when... WHAM! a seal came up and did the old grab and roll. The salmon was gone.

We did get another smaller fish,...but that was all.
