Report:
Set out at about 4:30 in the morning to Chandeleur Island. Arrived at the island at around 6:15. There was a high tide at around 11:30. The range was around 1.7 ft.
Fished the cuts around Monkey Bayou. Caught some nice trout (18-22 inches.) Fished 3 cuts on the way to Curlew. Big trout at Curlew. Clear water. Caught our limit in about 1.5 hours. Biggest was a six pounder (29 inches), had several in the 25-27 inch range. Stopped and fished grass flats around Little Smack on the way in. Caught 2 nice reds in about an hour (27 & 31 inches.) Great day home by 1:30.
All told around 65 trout (left them biting) and 2 reds. Sinking mirror lures (halloween color) and spoons(gold). Fished cuts with red and white stingray grubs.
