Report:
Sorry the report is dated, had problems with the internet on Tuesday (didn't everyone?). Anyway, the story is the same on this side of the creek. It's been so cold the last few weeks live shrimp have been scarce here in L.A. (Lowwer Alabama). NOT so in Florida at the PBFB!

Again, when I got there there was plenty of live shrimp and good advice. "Go out at least past the first turnaround." So I drove out past the only other 3 anglers on the whole 1 1/2 mile bridge to set up, and the fish were there, at the first place I stopped! They must be gnawing at a half mile of that ole bridge. It took me a little bit to get the hang of it, amazing how "rusty" you can get after a few weeks of not fishing. But soon, I matched the tide movement, water depth, presentation, and holding my mouth "just right" and started catching on. Ended up with 8 nice sheepies (#2.3 to #8.5) five of them OVER 4 pounds. Like one guy said that rode by and spied a big sheep on the deck I had just netted, "That'll make a FINE sammich!"

There were other nice folks out there too. Old Jose, getting his morning walk in while collecting cans. We talked a bit and he gladly stopped to snap a couple of photos for me, and net a fish for me. And the family from Pensacola that after netting a couple of fish for me wanted to know all the "little secrets" of what they weren't doing right to catch fish. Good time, good folks good conversations and especially, GOOD FISHING!

Also, I was pleased and honored to meet John Soule who runs the PBFB and is a sponsor of this board. He is quite a gentleman, had my picture taken and fished iced down before he even found out he knew me. (Ain't this technocology sumthin else ;-)

Yep, you can bet I'll be going back there.
