Report:
Fished locally out of Marina Del Rey California. The halibut are on the spawn right now here and fishing has been fantastic! We loaded up with live squid and fished two miles from the harbor off El Segundo. We caught six halibut, from 3 to 8 pounds. The capper though was a 35.2lb. fish, my personal best. My best before this fish was 23lbs. They don't get much larger than this but several large fish have been caught lately. Since the gill nets were banned several years ago, the fishing gets better each year! Here's a link to a picture of the catch.
