Report:
A nice day for the northern opener of salmon, a little snotty in the morning, but laid down around 9 AM. 5-7 ft swell with a small wind wave. Headed out towards deep reef, 8 salmon for 4 anglers (limits) by 1:30 PM, fish went 8-12 lbs. All fish caught on pearl or watermelon Apexes. Fish were scattered from 30-100 feet deep. Not a hot bite, but consistent. Weather began to deteriorate about 1:00 PM, too rough to fish on Sunday. Nice grade of fish, lots of krill in the water and a few pin anchovies. Looks like this could be another good season. Tight lines!
