Report:
Ahoy there one and all! Well we were salmon fishing today. We started our day by running west from Pillar Point harbor 12 miles . Boy was it a rough ride out! My thinking was to get as far west and try to put the weather behind us and troll back "down the hill". We stopped and immediately had a 6 fish hook up . We landed 4 of them while trying to sort out the melee!! We then had another multiple hookup but only landed 2 out of it. and at that time the weather was getting tough to try to tack up the hill so we turned and made a tack down. I heard Ed of the Waho talking about catching fish back at the "PP" buoy so i started to work back that way and eventually picked up the lines to run back in. It was a great move as we ended up catching 14 more fish back at the buoy and the weather was much better! so we ended up with 20 fish for 15 anglers and the big one was about 16 lbs! Nice to see the fish right on our doorstep! Tight lines! Capt. Smitty Riptide Sportfishing & Whale Watching capt.smitty@juno.com www.riptide.net (888)747-8433
